Those wild boars are autochtonous animals from the cork oak forests, which are very characterístic from this region. Their diet is usually composed by acorns, corn, tubers, grass, roots, etc... although their diet can be very diverse.

In spite of looking like heavy and clumpsy mannered animals, they can exceed the 17 km/h. And they are endowed with an intelligence superior of the horse one.

They also stand up for favint a very fin sense of smell and the are used, especially in France, to look for truffes, because they are detected by them even at six or seven metres deep.

Jacint's wild boars, are courious animals fro their docility, tenderness and adaptation capacity. Children are their fervent admirers and they feed them very frequently during the whole year and specially during the summer time.

Thank to Jacint, the people's vision towards those animals is changing. Children and adults see them now as nice and playful friends.

They live in a fenced area, conditioned by Tossa de Mar's Town Hall, where nothing lacks, and where people can visit them while they are ahving a walk along the cork oak and pine forests that surround the environs of ous beautiful coastal town.
